Students under 18 years of age were invited to submit up to 3 art works to exhibit with Artists Afloat at the Art Factory Gallery in Brisbane.

It was a great opportunity to gain experience submitting your work for competitions and successful entrants a chance to have their first professional exhibition on their ARTIST CV!

$200 prize value awarded to each of the under 18 female and under 18 male artists for their winning entry, inspired by the theme ‘Clear Water – Conservation and Restoration’, as well as art workshops for each of the two encouragement awards and $200 prize value for the people’s choice award.

Best under 18 female went to Erica Dunkley from Brisbane State High School

Best under 18 male went to Tylor Elmsly from Redcliffe State High School

2 x encouragement awards went to Alexandria Harris and Brianna Cameron both from St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School, and the ‘people’s choice’ award went to Alexandria Harris.

With 60 attendees to the event, the students received great enthusiasm from the crowd and cheers when the awards were announced.
